Fees

Base rate as of January 1, 2012: $100/hour per musician, $150 minimum (90 minutes).

Travel fees outside of Boston metro area (defined as within the Rt. 128 loop and including Quincy): $50/musician up to 50 miles away; $80/musician if more than 50 miles away.

Custom arrangements: If you have a special musical request outside of our repertoire list, we will make every effort to locate sheet music appropriate for the ensemble.  If none is available, we can do a custom arrangement for $50. Please give at least 2 weeks’ notice.

The booking process

If you would like to book our ensemble, we will send you a contract and ask for a 50% deposit to hold your date.

  1. Save the date by signing and returning our contract with the deposit. You will need to decide on a few things:

Once you’ve decided these, we will mail you two copies of our contract. Keep one for your records, and sign and mail the other back to us with your check or money order for the deposit.

  1. Pick your music. Whenever you’re ready we can get together in person or via phone/email to finalize your selections. You can simply choose from our repertoire lists or we’re happy to advise; let us know in advance if you might want something that’s not part of our normal repertoire and we’ll make it happen.
  2. Send us the remaining balance 1-2 weeks before the event. At the same time, we should finalize all the details and communicate any changes.
  3. Relax and enjoy the music!

Requirements

One armless chair per person.

One 10-minute break per hour of service.

Adequate shelter. We cannot play in direct sun or rain, or in temperatures lower than 60 degrees. This is to protect our valuable instruments.

Access to a working electrical outlet within 25 feet if we are providing amplification for ourselves.

Final payment no later than the date of the performance. We will mail you an invoice and a return envelope about two weeks before your event date. If you do have to wait until the day-of, please pay before we start playing.
